Open Door Coffee House in Madison

This is a great place to go. 1.Great coffee. It has a great selection from coffee to fruit drinks.2.It offers regular soft drinks as well.3.nice selection of ice cream flavors. 4.And if also offers a limited food menu. But, the food is good.5.the staff is excellent. They're friendly and always helpful. It's a Christian coffee shop, it extremely family friendly. As well as a good place to study for students. The prices are reasonable. It won't break your wallet.

Cute decor, takes awhile when you order but only one worker there and this is not a fast-food place. Great place to visit with someone or play a game.

Good food and fantastic service

Excellent coffee at a very affordable price. Staff is very friendly. Atmosphere is very comfortable. My only complaint is that I went there to work on my book and there were no plugs available for my laptop so I couldn't stay as long as I would have liked.

My guy Devon Edwards provides a mean cup of coffee... Now when I say coffee, I mean the purest coffee known to this amazing world known as "Earth" which gives a humanist perspective. Great coffee, great service and atmosphere

First time in a long time visiting. Manager was so friendly and welcoming. She made me the best marshmallow iced coffee. So much better than Starbucks. 💕

Coffee was fine, a little weak for my taste, but I prefer a strong brew. There wasn't a line when we got there but we stood there for probably 5 or 6 minutes before the employee acknowledge us because she was busy making food for people seated around the shop. Once she did greet us it was probably another 5 or 6 minutes before she took our order. Overall the coffee was fine, probably should be another employee on hand so people aren't standing around for 10 minutes just to have their order taken.

The shop is very small, but they've made it feel very comfortable. Cozy.

The atmosphere was very inviting, it encouraged discussion and the coffee was very good! the flavor was rich and full with a lovely combination to the cream! I most definitely plan to come back and have some more, and I also recommend this coffee place to others in the area, very nice and a wonderful place to be!

Staff is very knowledgeable about all of the food and drinks that they serve. I've never been disappointed with anything I ordered there, it's delicious 😋! Also, I'm disabled and I'm very comfortable going alone because they've always been helpful and courteous.

Such a refreshing coffee house. Great espresso drinks, yummy treats, and family/kid friendly. Many games to play at the tables - just ask. Love the decor and subtle Christian touches. Thank you for a great stay.

Lovely little place. Very laid back, friendly staff. I always go here if I'm in the area, and sometimes I go even when I'm not.The menu is very thorough, specific and easy to browse.And also, I love the bookshelf.

The Open Door Coffee Shop is always so clean and the employees have great customer service. They allowed me to call ahead and have my order ready for pick-up. They are cheaper than the large chain coffee places and the best part is, you can SUPPORT LOCAL for less! They have great quality when it comes to their products as well.

I frequently pop in during daytime hours between classes (I'm an independent fitness instructor), it's a great place for a quick bite. Ruth is fantastic, she manages to handle making customer orders while handling phone calls, taking new orders, wifi password requests, etc all at the same time with a genuine smile on her face. I love that you have sprouted grain bagel & wrap options & a lot of vegetarian options. My only suggestion would be to move away from purchased packs of hummus & offer a house made hummus made with organic chickpeas. Great place though, and there's always a group of locals here, clearly you're an important part of the community.

After covid19 the hours are drastically reduced. Call before coming to order if in a hurry. Few indoor tables open but has nice outdoor seating. Props to Ruth for taking up the call. 💜

Meh. Not Impressed. Breakfast sandwich was very very small and there was a peice of plastic in it... Wish this place would step it up with thier food game because microwaveable breakfast sandwiches are not ideal. Bring in the homemade/local foods!! I left with a stomachache from the processed sandwich... Processed food is old school, bring healthy/farm-to-table food to Madison! I would be here everyday if they offered REAL food. Not Jimmy Dean brand yuck. It even looks like thier smoothies are made with processed flavored syrups 😭 This place has potential. Staff is very kind. Beautiful facility. They even serve LOCALLY ROASTED COFFEE. Just not about processed foods...

Baristas always friendly. Prices a bit cheaper than Starbucks. They also have flavors of the month that are sometimes super unique. Also, supporting local business is great.

Great place to get coffee. Even got some chocolate fudgies. Otherwise known as no bake cookies. Very friendly barista. Will be returning.

I'm always thrilled with this place. They keep music on but not too loud. Comfortable space to curl up with a book o choose a table to get some work done. All the staff is friendly and attentive. The coffee is great and the home baked treats are always wonderful and fresh. Clean and accommodating bathrooms are great as well.

Great break from I-90! The kids had locally made ice cream with hummus and pita chips. The iced coffee was great and the prices were very reasonable ($5.50 for a sandwich and chips, $3 for a large latte) Glad we found such a place while traveling!

Charming and cozy. A great place to catch up with friends or family. A great space to get away from your office and chill. Had a small organization meeting with a friend today. It was quiet and peaceful. What else does anyone need? Oh, yes. We even prayed. Thanks Gabby from Open Door and Heather for a great meeting.

Love this coffee house! It's so nice to visit one that is playing Christian music, has inspirational quotes visible, and one where the atmosphere is very friendly and inviting.
